NOT MINE 71 Monaco Triple Black Loaded 440 car

This is a nice car. Every car does not have to be a 100-point restoration. To get this back on the road and looking decent does not have to be crazy money. Every car does not need a $10,000 paint job. Depending on what is wrong with the motor it may be able to be unstuck and running. Hopefully someone will save it.

Can someone decode the fender tag ?

this might help if anyone has the time. TWO tags and you can almost quess without looking at the car what it has.

I can see, from some of my other cars & stuff I look for around this year, several items on the tag in the pics as well. AC, tinted glass, power windows/seats and likely power door locks. some kinda uplevel radio, some kinda light group, front disc brakes, wheel lip moldings, cruise, fender turn signals, etc.

Been sitting since 76. If I had to guess, acetone/ATF and marvel isn't going to do the trick. But it could!

I've been mulling it over and gave myself a timeline. Hopefully someone steps up before I feel like I have to.

I can not be the only one that wants to save all these dilapidated Dodges.

I am assuming you still have the black convertible with the red strip on it, so doesn't it need a good brother to keep it company!? You can go through all the same struggles with this one or cut it short and just get it now. You certainly know how much I appreciate triple black C bodies, especially one that is loaded like this one too.

Something like this is FAR more appealing to me than the sought after muscle cars, I'd run past 50 restored Hemi cars to come look at this car in its current shape.

Yes I do! They definitely would be a stunning pair together too.

I don't think I would go that far, but it is an interesting car.
The 50 restored hemi cars price likley start at 80k possibly more and skyrocket from there.
most hemi owners won't drive them out of town. If they drive the at all.
this low dollar c body would put a smile on my face every time I hit the highway.

There are quite a few muscle Mopars that are not Hemi cars like 383, 440 and 340 cars. Lots of them are driven and you can see them at cruise nights on Long Island. Most people would lean on the big C bodies to look at the muscle Mopars. I like all Mopars but the average person will look at the flashy muscle cars.

Given this car has the N95 Package (California emission controls), it must have been originally a California car. That my 1971 Chrysler 300 also triple black and fully loaded with options was also originally a California car is also interesting. I bought mine out of Racine though with 19K miles on it verified after pulling the heads to put hardened valve seats in it - originally I thought it had higher miles on it but it did not. It is really interesting how many options this Dodge has on it - "loaded" is an understatement - it also has the R36 package (AM/FM Stereo with stereo cassette) that is really unique. A car like this comes around only very rarely.
