Does anyone have pics of the trim clip instalation? I have an idea of where they fit and have one pic of the clips on a door. But given their age, i have one shot at getting this right.

Thanks in advance

Reed

In theory, with the clips attached to the door, oriented vertically. The bottom of the molding is indexed with the bottom "tension" part of the clip inside the molding lip. With them all where they need to be, molding and clip, then the molding is tapped over the top of the clip for final retention. I have not done this, but from the looks of the molding clips, that is how it is designed to be done. For any assy line stuff, it has to be capable of being done cleanly and easily by the line workers.

Just some thoughts,

Installed the clips on the new yorker. Missing 2 clips. May take one and move it to the other side, or modify 2 that i have that are similar. Also note the small screws and studs used to attach the long trim. Had to create the missing door trim clip.

Drivers side trim is on. The rear long piece has a slight crease from someone running in to it. Have a spare which i might install later (has some issues too.) But for now going with the origional
