Yeah, those rear quarters are unique, but couldn't remember on which car I'd seen them.

DEK1D142274 Back again.

Is this the same seller as the previous threads?

Are you sure those are JC Whitney's ? Lol .
I figured they would at least try to make it look right . Maybe some extra road signs they found laying around ?
Its the shape that's the give away to me.

Theres quarter patch panels that I've seen several times now...only 1 car I've seen come out good with them

Not surpised this one is still around -- unsold. Something about its value proposition may be outta whack.

To me, NOT worth anywhere near the ask. It does have some nice parts I would squirrel away, but it will never get to that price where it would get my economic attention..

Anybody who knows/loves these cars, and might be inclined to buy it, must know those dang quarters were botched somewhere its history. I dont know if any of the marketing materials for this one even mentions the "elephant in the room" with those quarters. If that is true, that would really bother me.

Whatever the ask is, from any selller, I would be discounting that value by whatever I thought I had to invest to FIX those things, repaint, metalwork, blah, blah ... to make minimally acceptable to me. I would not drive it like it is -- it isnt grotesque, but just "too wrong" for me.

Analogy. I might buy a car, at the right price, with a "wing" on the HOOD. It would be the FIRST thing to come off under my ownership.

Someone else may like it as is. Its "customized" Cool. To each his/her own. :)

I am tempted to go look as it is very close, just to get honest photos to post here for everyone.
Seems like the seller HAS to have had folks ask about those quarters, AND is prepared with an explanation in person, AND has that plus a TON of photographs at the ready for long distance buyers of "classsic" vehicles.

Good luck if you get a chance to see it up close.

I wonder when in the car's history those quarters were installed. Possible it's an owner or two ago and the dealer selling the car doesn't even know anything or even care about the repairs. Dealers aren't all that savvy especially with old cars.

Someone will buy the car and not know the difference. Then they'll sign on here and get upset that either we "trashed" the car or upset that he bought without knowing or both.

They've had this car a year and a half at least as the first reference on FCBO was November 2023. They've halved the price so maybe they've figured out it's a POS and are at what they paid.

It would be worth looking at if it was under $10k. If everything else was good you could factor in fixing the panels or even leave it alone and drive it. That said, I'm betting it's a pig with lipstick and not worth much.

The quarter panels the worst fab work I ever seen. @Big_John I agree w/ your take except the Value is closer to $8000.00. How much more hack work is hidden here. Being a 318 car I think my value is generous.

No one loves the 71 Polara more than I. I wouldn't even do 5K and I'm not a CB.

I think the pricing issues with this one is simple.

Its blue on blue. 71. 2dr. Coincidentally...It looks much like the 6 pack 4 speed car that brought pretty good money a few years back.

Hello Everyone
my name is Tom I'm from Rolling Meadows, Illinois
I almost bought this car for my 40th birthday. I went to a car dealer a week ago. Dealer told me there is small issue with the car but they working on it, car wouldn't start, steering wheel was removed, I ask them about general condition body and frame, they told me everything is ok so I drop an offer 10 K and left my phone number, they promise to call me when the car will be fixed, My plan was to go there tomorrow and offer them 10500 ,untill I notice those lower quarters panels here on FORUM !! thanks for saving my money. I almost sink all my savings on this junk! Thank You I owe a beer for all people here.
If anyone has 2 door Polara, Newport or any nice looking Mopar up to 10 K in Chicago or Phoenix area please let me know.
