I hope so too. It wasn't me. I dont have time to be chasing polaras across the country anymore.Hopefully someone has been able to swing by and save some parts from this poor thing...any luck @lemondana?
What I dont get...i offered 1000 bucks for what I saw in the pics sight unseen....they said no...just to crush it and get $75 a ton...you'd think someone with a brain would have been like damn this guy is an idiot lets take his money. It's amazing that these yards won't sell the body by itself.
It also bothers me to see salvageable classic parts with lots of life left in it being crushed and sent to China.
If i worked there...it would have never gotten off the tow truck. I would have had it taken to my place. That's pretty honorable of you Wyatt...well at least you tried!
If I worked there I'd have given you an "out the back door" deal lol
Hi all: I did go out last Monday, to check it out. My knees are getting so bad it pains me to walk to far. They did have golf cart to rent for $5.00 an hour. I was mainly interested in a front bumper, which it did have and I did get. It looks to me that the car had been there quite a long time. Somebody had cut the complete roof sheetmetal out, probably for a streetrod roof insert. So most of the interior was weathered fairly bad. It was a 360 2 bbl car with AC, PS, power disc brakes. The rear floor area had heavy undercoating on it and the car was full of trash, it did look OK from the bottom. The hood was off, so everything under the hood was weathered.
By the looks of the place on their website it looked real nice, like it hadn't been there to long, I asked in the office, and he said they've been open for 7 years. And sorry: I forgot to take pictures, I remembered when we were about 10 miles away.
I plan on going out again in a few weeks, just for some small stuff. I'll try to get pictures then.
grab the fender tag.
Whats the going rate for a tag these days...beat me by 9 minutes.
I'd buy any of the tags if you grab them.
And if you find a build sheet under the seats I''m interested.
