It appears to be an original red. This one is all you Doc!

Looks like it would clean up fairly well and make someone a nice driver. The steering wheel seems to be above average. Any idea on a price range for a new vinyl top and installation?
But it sure seems like a fair price at $2500.

Seller said original Texas car...was a dealer's wife car. But, she hated red so they painted white almost immediately.

Just drive it...C bodies are so drastically different from what people are accustomed to. My Imperial is really rough in the looks department, but the sheer size of it gets thumbs up and nods of approval.View attachment 195263

love the photo w/the smiling kids! Next generation of Imperial owners in the making.

So why didn't the dealer order it in spinnaker white right away:realcrazy:
Would have been the cheaper option

With the shiny carb and and new battery at least it looks to have been given some attempt to be put back on the road. Ad states it runs and drives and electricals work. Don’t know how well but that counts for something. I think a full brake, tranny engine and rear end fluid flush as well as a tune up would go a very long way on this car.

Picture of the vinyl roof peeled off looks to show there isn’t significant damage done to the roof. I would spend a weekend taking out the interior and doing a good detailing job, then installing a new vinyl roof. It would probably be easier to repaint the car in it’s white color it’s been. You could probably even have it be a DIY paint job and not look to shoddy.

Look again...

That fuel line across the exhaust manifold tells me the car loses value every time this person touches it. Maybe he used the heat resistant plastic fuel filter too? How about that battery cable? Confidence inspiring isn't it? I wonder how many repairs have been done with wire nuts?

Here's a new pic...still around for sale I believe because it just popped up this morning on FB.
