Sorry.Car hobbys are about looks 1st and foremost.A 69 Imp. 2 door or a hellcat?I,d take the Imp. 100 percent of the time.I see the lovely front grille and i would smile and feel content,happy i found such a beautiful car.The hellcat is not pretty,present day mustangs are nice.B.B

The Hellcat ain't supposed to be "pretty", it's meant to destroy anything in it's path, so long as it's in a straight line.

I love my old cars, bit I can dig a new 797HP car with a warranty and all the comforts of a brothel, that can take you to work, and the dragstrip the same day without having to change any part on the car. My cars so far aren't pretty, they look nice, so long as you like them scruffy, but I enjoy the crap out of them. So I disagree about looks being first and foremost. If that were the case, I'd drive a new plastic pile of crap. After twenty years of old car ownership, I'm finally starting to make them look pretty. I have one that should shine like a star when I'm done. And I'll be gentle for the first year, then it's in the driver rotation, and I'm gonna drive the wheels off it. My goal is a different old car for each day of the week. We'll see if I get there!

And I'd take the '69 2 door Imp plus the difference in cash, and have a blast!

The demon is even more of a monster.I thinks it,s a track only car.I meant collectible cars in general where looks have to kink your brain in a great way.Where you just have to own it.Yes an everyday car has to be modern because they generally are more efficient.And it,s nice to have all the comforts that older cars just don,have.My sonata has satellite,navigation,leather,camera.i can drive straight through to naples florida,about a 20 hour drive from maryland and not feel sore afterwards.Great travel car.Nice to see your a car enthusiast and enjoy them.take care,B.B
 
Sadly, most Demon's are tucked away for storage, for life. I couldn't buy one (sure can't afford one) and not best the snot out of it, it's what it was made for. Too many guys think they will be the one with the lowest miles when they get old and sell it for their mega-retirement.
 
The fella we sold our Demon to drives the “Hell” outta it during the summer. Great story as well - started out buying a base model SXT Challenger as a subprime customer then moved up to a R/T then after two years he bought a Hemi Orange Hellcat at prime rate. When the Demon came out he had to have it. $130000 later less $65000 for the Hellcat and he was an owner. Quite the journey from subprime to rock solid prime customer and we were quite happy to see him drive it as it was intended versus parking it away as an investment. Mustang’s will never compete with the pure blunt power of the Demon IMHO
