Man! I could really use the interior and windshield from that!
I think the windshield is busted. It was one of the first things I was thinking of too, second to the quarters that I need for my '72.

Is the wagon windshield unique? Nothing else is the same?

Seriously? With a donor roof I'd fix it. It would be some work but so is fixing a rough car or a rust bucket.
Absolutely, if I was 20 years younger and it was a car I really wanted.Seriously?
I don't think the insurance company has any choice. You are not buying the car back, It's your car. If you want to keep it the only say the insurance company has is what the salvage value is.I've never had any luck with buy backs. They simply refuse to do it. Though I know its going to a yard to be parted.

Actually, azblackhemi, it depends on the state (regulations) and the insurance company...
In some states the car *has* to go thru auction so if you want it you have to bid on it..
Supposedly this is done to decrease chance of insurance fraud..
