The other thing that is going on here, I think is that there are small details that were calculated to appeal to buyers. The tires were wide white bias plys. That doesn't make any sense. If it's about being an unmolested time capsule, then those would never have been on it ever. Did the seller put them on to give them the faux "vintage" look?
I'm thinking that the seller got a bit lucky, but also deserves credit for being really good at marketing and presentation.
