'73 Fury Gran Coupe that ended up in the Drink

Yep very sad. Were you reimbursed for the loss in any way, Hemi?

Hi c-bodies friends,

I am the owner of this car. I am from Israel, and in the past i imported here my 73 Fury Gran Sedan.

The storm that took place here last month is rare, but unfortunately it made this loss.

I really wanted this car and now it is gone.

Hemi

Sorry for your loss. That was a beautiful car!

There's special insurance that you buy for shipping cars on the big boat. Don't know for sure what the payoff $$$ would be.

" insured for stated value or $5,000.00 whichever is lower... "

Somehow that line will come out of the woodwork from the insurance company.
As you can tell, I have a statistition's view of unsurance: Your odds are better in Vegas.

I'm sure there are different rates for different values. I hope he chose the one that was close to the actual value. You would be suprised at the number of cars that are damaged or totally destroyed from boat shipments. I went to Bremerhaven, Germany to pickup my new Z-28 in 1989. That saved me $400 which was a lot $$$ to a GI back then. I saw more than 30 new cars that were completely destroyed from being dropped. They were sling loaded on and off the boat at this facility.

The 60 Chevrolet Bel Air that came from Delaware with an Army photographer to the Trier area "lost" its full wheel covers and gas pedal while it was shipped over before I bought it. It was also a nice shade of turquoise/green called Tasco Turquoise met.
