What's up fellas??? Anyone have a take on this: My Newport sat for 10 years in Arizona and I got it running again. But, there seems to be smoke coming from the crankcase...I take off the oil cap and smoke is coming out! Oil is fresh and not low...I read somewhere that the 400 runs hot??? Not sure...that's why I'm the Mopar rookie :)

Sounds like blow by. Check the PCV valve. If it's good try running it a while to see if maybe the rings aren't seating after sitting for so long. I f it doesn't go away after running it an overhaul might be needed. Hoping for the best.

Yeah, I hope I don't need to do an overhaul...I thought about that. Like I don't have a enough engine projects :)))

I would run a compression test if it doesn't get any better. Might just need a good long ride to get the rings sealing properly. Cylinder leak down test could help too..

Thanks bro...yeah, it only has 82,000 original miles! I'm hoping to get maybe another 100,000 miles before I have to pull it out!!
