I just spoke to the seller(Jeff)on the phone. I'm not in the market for this one, but feel it's my duty as a member here to investigate for the good of this community, as well as to satisfy my own curiosity.
He sounds like a nice guy & easy to talk to about the car.
He's going to send me the additional photos I requested as soon as he gets a chance; interior, engine compartment, rear end, driver side and trunk.

He's had the car for four years, but only drives it occasionally in warm weather for about an hour each year. Can no longer justify the space it takes up in his garage. Says it starts easily enough after sitting during the winters, and runs and drives with no issues. Has been sitting since last fall without a start.
It seems the previous owner changed the stock shifter (vacuum operated system) to a Hurst power shifter, removing the vacuum lines completely.
He said the underside seems pretty clean, no rust out anywhere, and no real surface rust to speak of either.
Tells me the interior is very nice overall, however does have a couple of splits in the drivers seat upholstery. He's not sure about why the bumper hangs down on that one side.. but doesn't seem to be a major issue... frame is straight etc.

He says the A/C was ice cold two seasons ago, but last year it went back and forth from warm to cold and thinks it needs a FREON boost.

He's not sure of the miles off hand(recalls 102k) but he's gonna check that too.

I'll post the new pics when I get them either tomorrow or tuesday, as will Doc I trust.
Thanks for the info...no pics yet overnight...seller said he would try to get more pics at some point today. I'll share them asap or someone might beat me to it.

I was hoping for at least 1 or 2 red x’s but seriously, the previous years had really kool front end treatments and then this...

I want to agree with you Matt because you are correct. But when I look at the sad eyes...

I can't bear to hurt its feelers.

The stylists were screwed when designing the 73 models, because they had to transition the buying public to formals with the 1974 models. So to transitioning from swoopy, bold and beautiful styling from 1969 through 1973, they had to do something to bridge this huge gap to formal, heavy looking and stoical designs. Given what their assignment was, the 73 Chrysler front ends were actually beautiful in retrospect in that context. I am glad they dropped the 300 models in 1971 so they at least didn't have to go through this emasculation. :(

On the gold car for sale, they took off those hideous rubber titties, if that's what you mean.

Ah, that's it...but I like the tots, or 'nubs' as I call them. They come very handy for pushing priuses (or prii) out of the way. Or any car, really, lol....

The seller also texted me a video of the car.. can someone please instruct me how to post it on this thread? It is coming up as too large a file when I try.
And yes, he shot the video outside in daylight! Walked around the entire car with it running, got inside and shows interior, and opens hood to show running engine. No hose. No fuzzy dice. But that shifter modification?
