Very interesting, what a great place this is!

Air ride was N/A in 74...made its debut in 1975. The 74s did suffer from overheating difficulties in heavy traffic and the 75 facelift added the bumper venting as well as larger grille area in Imperials and the Chrysler line. I have witnessed personally, in my 74s, the temp gauge slowly climb in heavy summer traffic...never overheated though. On my 77 T&C the temp stays put in traffic.

I've been in bumper to bumper traffic with the heat index over 110 several times in my 1978 NY'er with no overheating issues whatsoever. I had an eyeball on the temp gauge and was quite impressed with the steadfast cooling. The needle was maybe a hair higher then normal at most....I literally couldn't tell for sure. I still have the original radiator, fan and fan clutch, and heater core on her. I do have a new water pump, thermostat, and all new hoses and belts on her.

Here's what a 74 Crown Coupe looked like from the factory in Golden Fawn...not my favourite colour, I confess...

I'm not a fan of Golden Fawn either......

Those are rare......only 57 made in 1974.

I think he said something about it being a golden anniversary addition.

I agree 100%!

All 1974 Imperial LeBaron Crown Coupes came in one color: Golden Fawn (KY4) with a gold vinyl roof (V4Y). Color choices for the 1975 Crown Coupe package were expanded to include LA2 - Silver Cloud Metallic (V4A), KB8 - Starlight Blue Metallic (V4B), KG8 - Deep Sherwood Metallic (V4G), KT9 - Dark Chestnut Metallic (V4T), EW1 - Spinnaker White (V4W), TX9 - Formal Black (V4X), KY4 - Golden Fawn (V4Y), and LY6 - Inca Gold Metallic (V4Y).

The rear window looks huge on them.

Here's one with a sunroof......how rare is this one???

I don't know if this was a factory option??? I never heard of it before.

I just took delivery of my 1974 Imperial Crown Coupe. It has possibly every option available in 74 including the ultra rare sunroof, but it gets better....the roof is GLASS!!! I expected a steel roof with padded vinal top covering, but this car has all the proper interior headliner fitings. The sunroof packet with crank and instructions are with the car, the switch is stock and in the right place along with the access hole for the crank.

Certainly looks all stock, and what year is that one Bob? Is that from an original owners website?

That is a 1974 Imp. It's from the Imperial Club website.

BTW, Presumably this change in nomenclature indicated that the '75 Crown Coupe package had been added to the standard option list, and its production of 1,641 units reflected this change.

The Imperial LeBaron Crown Coupe package was mirrored on the 1974-1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham in the St. Regis package.

so, thats begs the question, how many fawn Imps were built in 75?

That's hard to say since they built most of the 1975 Imps in 1974. The production run ended early.......probably tooling up for the 1976 New Yorker's.

Only 8,830 (total all models) 1975 Imps produced, I don't think too many were customer ordered.
