If I would have bought it..............................Local Detachment had them for Highway Enforcement, my neighbor ordered the 10 of them, all 440 Pursuit cars.

That car looks cool! Does anyone know what happened to any of those cars?

Yep, my provincial cops had some cool Mopars '63 Fury 2 door sedans, '66 Polara's with 426 Street Wedge's (My neighbor ordered 4, and each car came with a spare motor in a crate)

There is a fellow on the Drydock that worked for the California Highway Patrol as a mechanic in the sixties and seventies. He has told some excellent stories

That would of been cool to score one of those crate motors if any were left over after they moved on to newer cars.

I assume you guys are talking about Kraut on the Drydock. His stories could form the basis of a really good movie script. I remember the one about 150 mph in a 440 pursuit car clocked with a helicopter.

Was it Kraut that told the yarn about the Polara that was built to be in persuit driven backwards?

< Sent from my tablet >

I didn't hear that story but it sounds like him. He's been real quiet for the past year over there and the whole board seems to be slowing down. Maybe its my imagination.
