Real nice low mileage mega car. All original. White on red leather.

$6500. You can't even get a rusty crap can for that.

Real Detroit iron. Chrome on steel. Call me at 780-720-2759.

No e-mails, no texts, no trades, no financing no looking if you don't have cash to show me.

That's weird. It has the Newport trim around the instrument cluster. Never saw that on a New Yorker before.

I think that's actually a plus. I like the Newport trim better, and it probably doesn't creak and rattle like the NY trim does.

It could be an original Canada car - they did some weird things to them.

I don't know about $6500.....

Not bad condition but that leather is not in good shape. Hard to find leather for Formal's in great shape. Very expensive to get replaced if even you can find someone willing to do the seats. Stan has an NOS red steering wheel. Wipers probably don't work but that is an easy fix. Need an eyeball inspection for rust especially in the bottom of the rear quarters.

For me its the colour combination. Love a white car with red leather...he hasn’t shown any underhood pics so that’s a concern. Says it only has 41000 kms? Or 41000 miles? 1977 was the year we went metric so I am guessing its in kilometers but I can’t tell from the dash (eyes not sharp enough) ...paging @commando1 @cantflip whats your take on it?

Don't forget, that's $6500 Canadian, which is $4966 US. It would make an interesting contrast to the '70 300, as they are exact opposite color combinations. You would need eyes on it, as there are certainly some odd things about it. It doesn't have the outer bumper protectors like most '78's do either. Another plus in the looks department. I would want to add skirts if the paint under the wheel opening trim is undamaged. They didn't sell many Ny'ers without skirts, but I've seen a few over the years. I don't think it should have the Newport wheel covers on it. Kind of hard to tell in the pics, but the tires look really old, helping to support the low mileage claim. I see some wear on the leather. Being a solid red, you may be able to wipe in some dye to make them look good again. There's plenty of YouTube videos on how to spruce up leather seats. Other than the lack of skirts, it appears pretty well loaded up with options. May have just been the personal preference of the original owner. Hard to tell on that ATC II. The pics just aren't clear enough for me. An underhood shot would make it easier to tell. Doesn't say anything about which engine. I wouldn't be shocked of it was a 360, and that was purposely left out of the description.

I know the owner and I have seen the car and it’s nice and clean! I have been talking to him about trading some parts for a set of spare road wheels I have for this car . He had bran new white wall tires for the car the last time we talked. The only thing I saw that needed attention was The head liner cloth is starting to hang down. The car itself runs like a dream , original paint with very very few stone chips. Under the hood looks great. I thought the seats looked good when I saw them. I thought of buying it myself ! This man collects cars and it’s always been under a roof. This is a low mile/ kilometre car for sure !

The car has a very good smooth running 400 in it. If it had a 440 I probably would have bought it all ready for my wife. That would have been the only way she would let me get another car. What year did they stop putting 440’s in these cars any way? There not my specialty.

Would be the perfect stable mate to your 79 300!!!

Better grab it. Don't forget that's just an asking price. He has to know someone is going to try and Jew him down. Might as well be you!

Mine has the 360 in it. More proof that it was a California car. No lean burn nonsense... I love it.
I don't need no stinckin 440 LOL

You could still get the 440 in '78. The 400 was standard. The 440 was a no cost option, and the 360 was actually considered an option too, also at no cost, if I remember correctly. On California cars, I think the 360 was standard and the 440 optional, but not sure if it was no cost in that instance. The 400 wasn't available in CA in '78, and maybe other years too. Of course, it's possible that they had different options for the Canadian market cars.

This is a hop in and drive car. It has another 20 years in it if you made it your summer driver in my humble opinion. I got to have a good look at it this past summer. He’s about a 1/2 hour drive from Edmonton International Airport.
