904 to 727 swap

Is it a factory 360 car? I'm pretty sure they didn't put 904's behind 360s in C Bodies till 74 I think. And then they were the HD 999 trans. Get the PK part number off of the pan rail right under the shift linkage and post it here. If if would be the 999, I would rebuild what you have. There wasn't a 4 bbl swap on the 360-was there? Post some pictures of your kickdown linkage and throttle bracket. I have the 999 part numbers.

Took the spare 727 pan off looks very clean so far gonna take the valve body out and poke around

Well my silly little 20 year old brain decoded the fender tag when I got it 2 years ago. D34 said light duty trans and I just ASSUMED that was a 904 but after looking at it…. I think it’s a 727

Your kickdown linkage looks presentable. Did you install it right when you put the 4 bbl on it? The truck trans governor will most likely be a pretty low rpm unit. But C Body won't be much more.

its the stock 2 barrel linkage I just modified it to work with the 4 barrel

trying to figure out what converter was in that truck. Couldn’t find anything out but figured I would ask the old men. Has a stamping on with 504 and then ag1304h (came back as the ring gear) I figure it should work for the wagon application but wanted to double check with everyone.
