A Future home for my C's

Congrats, Nick!

Regarding your add of a barn/shop, I have a 100’ x 40’ shop that has a concrete floor and is insulated and heated.

My recommendations would be 1) air conditioning, 2) Heat and insulation, 3) shower/toilet/sink
4) WiFi - I am using Google WiFi and it’s great
5) lighting - I installed 14 30,000 lumen LED floodlights and it is great
6) outlets, outlets outlets

I too live on an acreage (almost 16 acres) and you have to drive on gravel for 1-1/2 miles before driving up the 0.2 mile driveway.

Any delivery of a large package is dropped off at the road and I have to pick it up with my neighbors skid steer.

I have a generator, a well and 2 1000 gallon propane tanks.

It is great!
Over the last few years I've started buying different equipment to be self reliant.

I'm actually going to build two buildings eventually, one to work in and one for storage, I'm doing this for two reasons, it'll keep the work area uncluttered, and i have less SF to heat.

My wife has given me the greenlight to build my dream shop, and she knows how much that means to me.

As soon as the weather breaks and the ground is solid in spring, I'll begin clearing land and deciding what I want where.

I'll probably start by building a road into the back.
