No sense even beginning a troubleshoot with about 10 questions 20 replies that need to be done yet.

According to the FSM it could be many things (partially open ambient sensor, vacuum not applied to rod side of mode actuator, blend air door link off servo arm and stuck on heat mode etc).

Does the compressor clutch cycle? Is air flow good and only the temperature of the air the issue?

You said the freon is good. Did you check it with a gauge? What was the pressure on the low and high pressure side?

Jump the compressor at least you will know if clutch is not open and problem is electrical

If you live in Maine or Montana, that is a solution. Try living anywhere that the temp and humidity both get over 90*/90%, and you'll change your mind quickly.

it is now working came unpluged at the switch in the dash

One of the first things you should check, therefore, is compressor engagement. If the compressors magnetic clutch is not engaging when the A/C is turned on, the problem may be a blown fuse or a wiring problem
