I'm hunting a stock air cleaner in good condition for a 1964 Chrysler 300, 383cuin, 4bbl Carter. I presume the 1963 - 1965 are the same but can't verify that. Anyone have one for sale?

Do you know what it is supposed to look like? Silenced or unsilenced? The unsilenced ones have with a hose provision or without. My experience is with a 65 Fury 383 cop car and its unsilenced. Best picture I can muster of my unsilenced one.

And most likely I have what you need. I have unsilenced ones (aftermarket 4 barrel) base and a bunch of C body silenced air cleaners. The unsilenced 4 barrel bases are tougher to find.

This is the parts book. I think its the 2463 951 which might be the unsilenced with the hose. Your 300 is a VC2. Not totally sure.

I think you are looking for the bases for the smaller airhorn. Pre -67(?)

If you already have larger bases, you can do something like this: https://www.autozone.com/intake-sys...XeOP2CRq6829b70IrLhoCGecQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

The other suggestion is to look on FABO. There's usually someone selling an unsilenced factory air cleaner for the smaller AFB airhorn.

Thanks. See the pics I inserted above.

Where did you find those pictures? The bottom picture is definitely wrong. The top picture might be correct. My google search showed mostly unsilenced cleaners like mine when googled 64 Chrysler 300 engine.

The lower pic is from the Martin Auto Museum in Glendale AZ. It is a “certified” 1963 Chrysler 300 Pacesetter.

I see the problem is solved, but just for posterity -
This aircleaner is a '74 or 75 and newer, it is not from 1963.
The decal and lack of heat stove hot-air actuator near the inlet are good clues for its application (but I don't know what it is).
Lack of actuator makes me think it is from a truck.

Guess it is not a “certified original” in the Martin Car Museum here in Phoenix. Thanks, Chuck

Totally agree its a newer air cleaner that was my first thought. That's why you can't trust the internet.

Its very confusing to me. The silenced air cleaner that the OP bought looks like it would not be correct for 65 (California only), as those appear to all be unsilenced. But in 64 looks like it did call for the silenced air cleaner for a 300 based on the parts book. But I would not stake my life on it.
