So I’m in the final stages of assembly for my NY’er heater box! I know… I’ve lagged it for a long time but now I’m finally determined to get this Lowrider 68 going! I’m looking at being able to make the car move under its own power by summer at the very least.

I got sent back to night shift (midnight to 8) at work, so I have a bit more time during the day now to actually get stuff done!

Looking at my before and after pictures of this defroster vent linkage on the box, it appears I may be missing something… or am I wrong?

I know, this isn’t professional Rich the heater box guy work, but I’m 23 with a wife, a baby on the way and a slim budget

Here’s before, and after looking at roughly the same angle. Keep in mind, I disassembled this thing mid 2022. I should’ve been smarter and learned the hard way that I needed to keep parts more organized. 2 years later I’m paying for it LOL

Here I am also mocking up the vacuum actuator pods. Things are looking good! Better than when I took it out

It doesn’t look like you are missing anything. The factory service manual has good information for setting up the box.

You are probably ok. It is just in a different mode that when you took it apart. If you have a mity vac, you can test your vacuum modules to verify movement from heat to defrost and such. As was mentioned, the FSM is very helpful.
