NOT MINE Another ‘70 Polara vert..

Listed yesterday for $2,999 in Tinley Park, IL.

From the ad: "1970 Dodge Polara convertible project/parts car. Garage kept since 2005. Engine was swapped for an 400 from a ‘73 Newport in 2002."

Looks to be a white repaint on EF8 green. Interior is L2F4. The radiator currently in the engine bay is a 19-incher, so my guess is that this car originally sported a 318. 2-speed wiper, no fender signal repeaters, no A/C vents -- very basic equipment.

I've messaged the seller. Car is buried in his garage and he has been overwhelmed with messages.

He's had the car 24 years and planned to fix it up but realized he doesn't have the skills or time to get it done.

He bought it from a Toyota Dealer on 95th Street in Tinley Park in 2001, where it was for sale on consignment.

That is Jake's car. I've wondered what happened to it. I remember when he bought it. It was up on the platform at the car dealership.
A young gun with big plans. Shame it didn't work out.
Fred would remember him from the Yahoo board .

Do I have the car in the files you sent to me, or is it one of the incoming ones?

I thought it when this car was at the Toyota dealer in Illinois and I still think it now that this car was in Jersey 40 years ago. When it presented itself on the platform at the dealership it was obviously originally green. 16 years prior there was a white polara convertible local here at a Chrysler body shop that was originally green . I saw it just after it had been repainted.
It was just a hunch then and now after all the slim pickins I still believe it was the same car.

I was hoping Jake did something with it. Sad to see the state it's in .

Whe that car was traded in at the dealership where the owner bought it, and if it was used by the previous owner as a daily driver in the Chicagoland area, it saw a lot of salt.
Maybe saw salty roads in NJ too.
Most dealerships wouldn't take a car full of bondo in as a trade today like they used to.
Too bad the seller never did anything with it, even if his intention was to bring it back to life.
