My "69-71 Imperial black bucket coupe search", turn up a lot of "other year Imperials" these days, advertised as 69's-71's.. but I still have hopes! :-D

Anyways, thisGerman "68" still looks good!

typical problem:
It says EZ 02/1969
EZ means "Erstzulassung"=first time registered (liscensed)

So if this Imp sat at the dealership in the US till that time, the old paperwork is existent and you show it to the german DMV they will put in the paperwork. If there is no further paperwork despite the title: They will make it 07/68

So it easy gets confused with the "modelyear".
European cars usually didn't change their cosmetics as fast as american cars
