Another New C body owner

This should help for the fuse box. PO took off the cowling below the steering wheel and one of the screw also holds the fuse box in place. It should be the one furthest to the left.

I don't have the car with me or I would take some more pictures. That will probably be what you really will need to help sort everything out. The PO really did make a mess of things I'm guessing an after market radio was "installed" at some time and he didn't have a clue what he was doing.

Thanks is that next to the vent? Any idea what the switch on the brake pedal is all about? The hose looks like a vacuum line but that seems redundant with the wires coming off of it. Then I have to figure out where the purple wire goes.

Very nice car. Florida? I was thinking about buying that car. One of my favorite body styles. A set of magnums 500 would look right at home on that car. I know this is a 300, but you get the idea. Congrats.

Sorry can't help you on the other but here is a reference with the cowling lowered, you can see the vent pulls.

Yes I'm in FL I guess the palm trees give it away. If you know anyone local who knows these cars I'd appreciate being able to pick their brain.

That helps greatly. Hopefully someone else recoginzes the setup on the brake pedal. If not as soon as the rain stops I'm going to go remove it and see if the one set of brake lights I got working today go out.

You are already in the right place. Whatever you can't find here, there is also the cbodydrydock.com.
Lots of good people there also.

I'm still not sure what the device on the brake pedal was all about but I'm guessing it might have been part of an aftermarket brake assist, cruise control cancel circuit or maybe it was being used to advance/retard timing when the brake pedal was pressed. It didn't have a diaphragm but the line would be blocked off when the pedal was pressed. The hose wasn't connected to anything at the other end but it was long enough it could have made half a lap around the engine compartment so it could have been connected just about anywhere.
