Anyone dealt with San Diego Classic & Muscle Cars ?

Sometimes you can get a local TV channel to do an investigative consumer fraud piece that will bring a lot of unwanted attention and drive business away from that flim flam used car dealer. That may result in them settling with you, and prevent them from getting very bad local TV coverage of their less than stellar business practices.

Or you can just tell the truth all over the Internet. I see this isn't the only forum for this thread so keep it going. Join a bunch more and tell your story. Make a video of the details on how you feel you got screwed by these guys and put it out on YouTube and post a link in all of the threads that you start. Post up warnings on the local Craigslist where the dealer is located and include the video there too.
So lets hear some details...

I like your thinking & ideas! They have had bad feedback on other sights, just need to ramp it up a bit. I'll include the listing & pictures.

THAT'S the question that should have been first brought up. Oh well...

So, what's wrong with the car?
Thanks, here is the backgroud with their quotes on their listing
& then what I received.

1968 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible,"one repaint in original B-5 Blue"..... original color-turquoise.
"It's a true survivor, solid car, no rust issues, floors and trunk
original.....both rocker panels rusted out on underside, lower rear
quarters redone with fiberglass & bondo packed over 1" thick on lower
trunk extensions or what was left of them, floor pan has 3 good size patches on both sides, paint cracking along lower area of car from bondo repairs.
"All trim & chrome is original and good" "needs nothing".......
pot metal pieces badly pitted, stainless trim has numerous dings,
bumpers peeling, dull & covered with a scraping like finish, bucket seat trim either broken or missing.
"Car drives like new, everything works as it should"....I have a grocery list here.
I will post pictures to confirm my findings
A true survivor that needs nothing???!

So did you buy the car & have it shipped or something? You would have noticed a lot of that in the first inspection, right?

I had the car shipped from San Diego to Mesa. A very reputable detailing business received the car &
saw immediatley it was not what I told him it should be & couldn't believe the misrepresentation of the
Fury. This owner & his staff detail Ron Pratts collection for him so he is very credible. I understand
California consumer agencies take so called dealers deceptions like this seriously so I'll find out.

I'd start with the attorney general if I felt I'd been intentionally ripped off.
