So I was wondering if anyone has extended the skirts down to make a straight body line rather than still having the arch. I am thinking of modifying mine to give it a longer sleek led sled look to the rear I guess. Is there a functional reason for the arch that should make me reconsider? I know skirts on these aren't for everyone. Any info would be helpful. Thanks guys

The arch is there to facilitate tire installation. For those that like fatter tires/wider rims I've seen a lot of struggle to get them underneath a C body- even without the skirts. Lots of angling the tire and shoving etc.

If you want the low look and continue the body line, the skirt is the best way to go while maintaining functionality.

i don't see why it couldn't be done other than extending the latching mechanism and making sure you have wheel clearance.

....or, using fiberglass, cardboard, add some material to bottom as needed. I made a center console out of those a couple years ago, easy to work with and shape. Or go with some sheet metal, tack on, and then use body filler/fiberglass to finish...my 2¢
