Well, we just saw a Trashed 426 selling for 17 thousand dollars so maybe a 17 hundred dollar starter is possible.

Hate to say it but I think the Stupid Money of 6-7 years ago is back.

I wish I had that kind of stupid money (don't we all), I could put a crate hemi in my Charger and still have enough left for a nice c body those two idiots have parts to big pain in the *** projects.

I have a bell housing that works with that stupid starter I would be happy to get 150 for it. Oh I mean 1500, yeah right.

Too bad I don't have one laying around as I would email him saying he could have it for half. Once saw an eBay seller trying to sell a 1967 Mercury Monterey front fender for $250. I did email him saying I had one for years and couldn't get rid of it and asked if he wanted it for $75. The next day his disappeared off eBay before the end of the auction.

Those starters were expensive and hard to come by even back when Hemi cars went for cheap money.

There's another starter like that on Ebay for $1000. That's probably about right....

Not long ago, I came across a BOLT for a four-speed Muncie M22 shifter, supposedly specific to a big-block '69 Camaro, on that stinkin' auction site. It sold for $800.00!!! That's right, $800.00 for a damn bolt!

I guess I have been taken to school on this one..

I wouldn't say that...

On first glance, a Mopar starter is a Mopar starter..... Until you mention 60's Hemi 4 speed car.... and then unless you have first hand experience, most guys wouldn't know that.

I remember these starters going for $300 back when you could buy a nice Hemi car for under $4000. A rebuilt starter for any other Mopar was less than $30. They just never made a lot of them and they were expensive when new.

Just think of it this way..... A guy has $100K worth of Hemi car with a bad starter sitting in his garage and he needs to get it in the trailer and then on to the show field so he can win his $5 trophy. He's gonna wip out his credit card in a heart beat. Don't try to understand.... It will never make sense to reasonable people.... or people that own C-bodies.

I know, and I will never have a real hemi car unless someone gives me one and I am just going to flip it use the money for some fun cars that nobody cares s if it is 100% correct. Those museum pieces are nice to look at for 5min then I'm ready to move on.
