I sure hope somebody knows the purpose of the little rectangular brass bracket/holder on the back of the ash receiver? All I can come up with is that it is a thermal breaker holder… my dash harness has no inline thermal breakers though and I definitely should have taken more pics when I started this project a decade ago…anyways, this Canadian built 65 Dodge Monaco convertible with a Sport Fury interior is coming along nicely…Appreciate any and all knowledge regarding this mystery. It is placed there for the ash receiver to amplify the sound made by the flasher operating.

It is for the hazard flasher, or turn flasher. Don’t recall which one but one of the two.

Unless the ashtray is overflowing, like they always were if you were the type to use one.
