Thought I’d head down to the show this afternoon thinking it would be less crowded. Big mistake. No place to park and ended up paying $30 for a surface lot in downtown Detroit.
Told myself 10 years ago “ never again”. Dough!!

I think the most fun I ever had driving Mopars was in a 340 Duster 4 spd. Just a blast!

Like any show it’s difficult to get good pics due to the crowd so I take close up detail type shots.

Just cuz vettes are cool!

Probably my all time favorite street rod subject whether 1:1 or a scale model!

Anyone can do an Airstream. Never seen one of these before.

Modeling has gone a long way since I was a kid. Gorgeous paint jobs.

Never got this look. You can’t get within 5 ft of the car much less inspect his wheelwells.
Put the dang wheels on it and shut the deck lid!

I common theme seen at car shows all over the country.

I’ve always liked being down on the river.
All in all good fun cuz I hit Lafayette Coney Island afterward.

I like the '55 DeSoto, but the changes they've made have it starting to look more like a '55 Ford.

Yeah. I much prefer hitting Culver’s with the Monaco on cruise night.
The lack of real Ridler eligible street rods was a let down.
Lot of pro-street, tricked out metrics etc. I usually just blow right by.
I think I was most impressed with the Cobo Hall improvements done over the years.
Haven’t been down here in over 15 yrs.
