And an 87 Buick Grand National GNX with 362 miles sold for $150,000. I'd take the ragtop.

Anybody know what %age the seller finally ends up with?

I read that there is a sellers consignment Fee of 8% with no reserve and 10% with a reserve,

and that there is a buyers commission fee of 8% if it is purchased onsite and 10% if purchased via phone or online.

It's a WIN - WIN for Barrett Jackson !!!! :os_dancing2:

So, if the gavel goes down at 10k, the seller gets 9 and the buyer pays 11. 2 grand or 20% to the house.

Yep. Not a bad racket, I mean deal.
I don't know the industry to say if they are excessive or not. I imagine the cost of doing these big mega-auctions is astrnomical. It's not like hiring Bert the tobacco auctioneer chanting a bunch of cars passing through a barn.

They're not criminals by any means, but I was just saying it's nice getting a piece of the action coming and going.

That's a pretty standard fee structure.

The sellers sometimes can negotiate a sweeter deal ahead of time on some of the high end cars but I don't think that option is available to the buyers unless maybe your name is Ron Pratt and it's a given that you will be spending a few million.

Buyer typically pays the fee at auctions.

Did you all catch the 68 Imp that went across for $6500?
