B&M ratchet shifter in 68 Fury III?

Not really, it's just a large tote full of miscellaneous linkage and bracketry so it'd be easier if you tell me which pieces. It's also in storage up in the mezzanine/crawl space above my shop and it can be hot up there.
The piece that bolts to the frame rail. I found everything else.

Dropped by the glass people, they're still waiting on the gasket. Here's the VIN, anyway

I'm reviving this thread. Any input on what you did? I am looking into a floorshift conversion too but with a Pro Stick. I like the idea of being able to floorshift the 1-2-D like a manual without a clutch. I dont like the 'race look' of the shifter very much and am thinking about how I can make this look more... 'factory'. Mancini sells a column kit that you can use to remove the column shift lever.

The PO for my car put in a Hurst Promatic2 It was a column shift. I don't like it and rarely "shift" just pull back for drive/auto. It does look out of place on the floor and as you said a little too racey for a big car. On the plus side it does remove linkage in the engine bay that allows brake booster room. Also its kind of a anti-theft device if others cant figure it out! And it does have reverse lock out should you race it. And speaking of race stuff if your car does have the non-stock look or sound it starts to make more sense to the viewers. The other good news is that this particular shifter will fit into a factory console according to the b-body guys. So that's what I'm doing. the only cutting is from the back side of the console park/drive surround for clearance and will not show. So I'm going to keep it. That's happening this winter with my conversion to buckets.

I was kooking at the b&m pro stick. I like the idea of shifting manually. I'm trying to figure out how to implement this i to some sort of console with a cupholder lol. My car isn't really stock so i think i could get away with the looks.

You wanna buy it? :poke:

If you are going to put a ratchet shifter in your car, that's fine, but it better be making 700+ hp and you better be racing it. You can buy a stock console shifter and console affordably, and you'll be much happier with the results. The ratchet shifters are far more trouble than they are worth for a street car. I still use a column shifter in my cruiser.
Love the scoop!

I just bought the b&m prostick on amazon. Currently on sale for 292$ plus a $20 off coupon. I had some rewards stuff and paid 230 for it. Pretty good deal!
