Banged up oil pan

When the oil pan on my Monaco got bumped it loosened the pan a bit and resulted in a leak. In your case I'd also re-torque the pan bolts.

Gotta laff at that one, from the amount of grime on that engine & chassis I really don't think any work has been done on it since the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Someone may have paid to have work done, but IMO they got taken.

I know the fuel pump, fuel tank, carb, distributor cap, plugs, plug wires and radiator are all newer. The heads have been off as they are clean-ish and under the valve covers things look ok (to me?). Beyond that, who knows as the car didn’t come with much in the way of receipts.

heh receipts don't mean much of anything, I can see some rattle can paint on the inside of the head & EGR valve, (dress-up) wonder if they wrote a bill for that.
Top area of engine bay looks pretty clean but the bottom... maybe someone put a timing chain in it and forgot the gasket for the cover, ha ha,

New NAPA cable and ground. Pardon the zip tie battery hold down. I haven’t been able to find a real replacement.

I tried to find a picture that shows it’s not as nasty overall as the poor oil pan, which including oil also seems to have taken a transmission fluid bath from a bad (now fixed) cooling line repair.

And also trying to decide if this is as good as the headlights will be or if I need to do some troubleshooting here as well. I don’t have anything old to compare it to and my memory of the headlights on my first 74 isn’t a good point of reference.

Regardless, it was a productive night in the garage and away from work and chores.
