Bastardized 1959 "Coronet" build

Looking good! What colour are you going with for that small piece of roof ? The white really sticks out against the black Targa roof. I know it used to compliment the body accents, but there's not much left of in now.

With Sinnaman Stick (cinnamon) on the body, we're thinking off white or a light tan for fins, roof and targa.

Got caught in some severe downpours. First water test was mostly successful. I knew it would leak all over the place. Most of the Lexan is not gooped yet, trunk basically has no gasket at all... Overall it did pretty good, we stayed dry less a couple little drips here and there while the carpet in the hatch and trunk area got fairly wet.

I shined up the rear 1/4 trim and put it back on just for S&Gs. I took one of my extra rear 1/4 trim pieces and made it fit the driver's door. That came out pretty good. I also got a lesson from our local hot rod guy on making trim clips instead of worrying about not finding the exact right ones.... Pretty sweet...!!

Rattle canned the front fenders reddish just to make it look a little more like one car for now.. Fender work will probably wait until fall... then played with some more colors... can't quite get it Sinnamon Stick with the rudimentary tools (and skills haha) that I'm using...

Look up Kinversand. A 2000? Range Rover color.

The Dodge is what I was going for... But boy that Range rover is REAL close!!

Looks like you’re trying to fabricate a remote trunk release from whatever the Corvette control uses.
Ed Zachery... Early tests seem to indicate that the Corvette mechanism doesn't have enough power to turn the Coronet latch.... stay tuned...

Plus points for the vintage Buick radiator to go with the Buick based body.

Minus points for not using a nailhead V-8
It's not a nailhead, but based on the distributor, it is a Buick engine. Could even be a 455?

I asked it to use Dodge Sinnamon Stick first but it came out way too brown. This one above I asked for copper... I'll have to watch that when we get to actual paint.
