Matchbook should end up with .019 to .021 gap.

I believe a V8 point gap should be .017", but I have used a matchbook cover a few times and everything ran fine.

I never had a dwell meter, and have doubts that you could even find one these days.

I still use mine if only to check the idle rpms.
