Bench seat Removal

The front seat you have to unbolt from the floor. The rear seat lower cushion is removed by pushing down and back on the rear seat cushion about 6" from one of the corners, after you have pushed the cushion back as far as it will go, while maintaining rearward pressure, grasp the seat cushion by the bottom edge and pull upwards and towards the front of the car, this will disengage the lock from one corner of the seat, repeat on the other corner. One both locks are disengaged, the seat cushion can be lifted out of the car. The top seat cushion is held in place by two bolts at the bottom of the upper cushion at either lower corner, remove the bolts and lift upwards on the cushion to remove it.

Thank you!
Are the brakes supposed to be that touchy?
I replaced all the drums, shoes, and all the parts for the drums. But when we test drive it. Barely press the pedal and the wheels lock up. Were stuck on this one.

A couple of things to check: First, did you have the master cylinder off? If so, the travel rod may be incorrectly adjusted, it should be adjusted so that there is about 5/8"-3/4" of free play on the brake pedal before the brakes start to engage. If the travel rod is adjusted too short, the brakes will engage erratically. Second, are all four wheels locking up or just the fronts or rears? You may in that case need to further bleed the brakes. Third, when the brake shoes were replaced, did you take up the free play by adjusting the star wheel at the bottom of the shoes? If there is excessive free play at the base of the brake shoes, that can cause the tops of the shoes to be out of alignment and lock the brakes up. You could also have a defective master cylinder or brake booster. Brake boosters usually fail because a bad master cylinder has allowed brake fluid into the booster. This degrades the internal rubber parts of the booster. Unbolt the master cylinder and look for signs of brake fluid at the entrance where the travel rod goes in. If there is brake fluid present, the booster and the master need to be replaced. To answer the initial question, brake should always engage smoothly, so something is not right.

Power brakes?? Not uncommon the brake booster gets touchy.
But first make sure alk brakes are adjusted properly. If adjusted up too much they can lock up.
When the whhels or car are in the. Air, there should be some light resistance spinning the wheel. If they cannot turn back off the adjustment.
If still locking up then check out the booster.
