Big Red 72 Imperial Road Trip

800 Sq ft is small...But, one of the last original cabin/cottages on lake from the 40's. Alot of teardowns and bigger homes going up around. I like to keep it and boathouse intact.
So imagine Big Red with those tires and rims(on that Beautiful '73 I must add)...Maybe a nice goal for sometime in 2018...wonder how hard to find 4 good rims and caps? Other parts have come along fairly easily...these 4 may be challenging to find together and in good condition...I would probably expect Big Red's original rims were Rallye Red? Something more to paint if they were any color.
What bay are you on? Still have a boathouse? That is rare, I know there's only a few left.
Spring Lake west side deadend street...perfect for my 3 pups and quiet.

My '73 came with crappy basket wire wheels with chrome rims. So rather than hunt the world over for rims and covers I opted for real wire wheels. Il liked the look of the wires anyway.
I believe the rims are supposed to be black, they are on my '67 as the wheel covers will cover the entire rim including that 1/8" bead where the weights mount. You never see any part of it. Besides it would look pretty goofy seeing a 1/8" band of bright red just below the white wall.

I guessed on the lake, totally wrong! That's too close to be a cabin, you have to drive for hours, not minutes! That's nice you can get away and you don't have to go far. The dogs look well behaved, my young Rottweiler would never stay in that convertible.
I do like wire rims that could be an option.

I'm also looking for the right white interior vinyl paint, can a shop mix this up or is there an off the shelf equivalent?

I like the direction you are going with this car returning it to it's former stately glory.
If you go with the wire rims just be prepared for hours of regular cleaning to keep them looking presentable.

That was me this weekend I was looking for any excuse to drive my 300, I think I drove 3 times to the hardware store and didn't come straight home on any of the trips.
