Very rare 1963 Chrysler 300 Pacesetter convertible, factory built pace car for the 1963 Indy 500. 38,000 original miles. Very good restorable shape. No dents, very little rust. White leather interior is aged but all there. Numbers matching driveline. 383 V8 with torque flight push button auto transmission. Solid floors, trunk, frame, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid, rockers and engine compartment. Good chrome. Motor turns freely. Excellent investment. One of only 1861 made, and one of 2 built in red. This is one of 33 Pacesetters: 31 blue, 1 white, and this 1 red one that did parade laps on the track at the Indy 500 on May 30th, 1963 before the race won by Parnelli Jones. After the race, it was shipped to W. H. Book of West Virginia. Always a southern car, this is the only one of the two red Pacesetters known to exist, so really is one of a kind.
