I'm at the 4.5 hour mark on todays broadcast.

A 1970 442 vert with a W30 motor= $325,000.

What a car!!!!

It actually wasn't all that attractive. The shade of Twilight Blue looked way off on my TV screen and it had a black interior, which is absolutely the wrong choice for a blue 1970 Olds. A friend owned a '70 in Twilight Blue with a blue interior and it was one of the nicest-looking color combos I have ever seen in a car. I could have bought it 5 years ago, wish now that I had.

I would put the market value for that car prior to yesterday at less than 1/3rd of what they spent on that one. It's crazy.

@Greg: What's a realistic market price for a very good unrestored 69 "standard" 442 coupe these days ? Just curious

1.2 Mill is a lot of cheese! Harold has been doing the Mopar muscle car thing for a lot of years and very actively. He's the same guy that owns the "Silver Bullit" among others. He has begun to get into building hot rods now for a change of pace and I think he's really enjoying it. Undoubtedly this money will get reinvested into newer interests.

Well, I know quite a few guys with money & they're all pretty damn smart. They also all made it themselves. Lucky? Come on....

You can't be anti-Obama & anti-rich guy. Pick one.

Agreed! I know and have done work for a lot of self made types and can't really think of one that doesn't have my respect.

Just realize the big risk that someone takes starting their own business. I congratulate anyone who becomes successful!!! Except crack/meth peddlers.
