My vote is a musical horn too. Probably had a ton of pre-programmed tunes already in it, plus there is probably a way to program your own. Hence the "Full, 1/2, & 1/4" markings above the numbers. I presume those are for the note lengths.

Although aftermarket, that thing would be cool to restore.

That has to be it. If there is no longer a PA speaker, there is probably still the wiring or at least the holes from where it used to be

Yes!! Musical Horn is correct. Gal whose father (deceased) owed the car said her dad would play all sorts of songs on it. Horn and wiring is all intact. . . Will give it a spin in the spring when out of its slumber in my 25' trailer. Horn still mounted. . . Thanks to all that helped!!!
