Ok guys, here's what I have going, I've bought the 73 spindles for my 65 fury and the plan forward is to install all mopar part BUT I've just become aware that it's possible to put a 03 and up crown Vic subframe under my car with minimal mods. The crown Vic has disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, and is dirt cheap. Thoughts?

I'm on the fence but the cost of a whole subframe from a wrecking yard is about $300. Granted I may put another $300 in it but for $600 I can't come close to the disc brake upgrade and suspension rebuild. Plus it has integrated coilovers built on it

you still need a good Stub frame to build the crown Vic cradle onto..

but how is the thing bolted to the other thing? welded together ?

i.e. how are the frame rails attached to the front end ***'y ?

Delete torsion bars? Lame.

just remember the brakes will only let you us 16'' or bigger rims on those brakes . it a very commen swap setup for larger vehicles .

yep , thinking that way on my 57 d100 . it been modified already 60 413 pushbutton shifter , and slamm'd !

If your doing a custom build I can see the benefit of swapping it in. If all you want is disc brakes it may be a lot of fab work. I was worried about the track width but since you need 16"or larger wheels anyway you could get any offset you want to adjust that.

I would ditch the exhaust manifolds now that you have plenty of room with no t bars.
