I have the same issue with my blower motor. The fuse pops after a few seconds.
Haven't looked at the wiring or the switch yet, but right now, I have removerd the right front wing of the car.
Therefore, it made sense to remove the blower motor and test it.
It works just fine for as far as I can tell. It draws 2,5 amps at full speed, nearly three on startup.
Looking at the way it was connected to the main harness, I don't think it is the original motor.
Given these results, wouldn't it be unnecessary to replace the blower motor?
Of course I will pull it apart for a cleanup and lube.
