blower motor location on a 72 newport?

The blower motor should be in the upper right corner of the firewall inside the passenger side fender. Should be a couple of wires leading to it. I'm not sure how you remove it though.

Fender inner splash has to come out.... Pain in the a** !

be sure it's the fan by hot wiring it first.... Usually the problem is in the control panel. The fan plug gets overheated and loosens, generating greater resistance til it overheats , melt and breaks contact.... I've seen it in every one of the 4 72's and 73's I've owned.

Good luck!

These pics are of a Formal's firewall, but the Fusey has the blower motor in the same spot...as mentioned its tucked up behind the passenger inner fender and is a real PITA to replace.

The blower motor lives in the round hole to the left. The next pic shows how it looks in the blower motor housing.

To just apply power to the pigtail, look for green and black wires up in there.

I still have it...sitting under the car cover in the garage waiting for the summer driving season. I posted a few pics of it in the "lets see some wagons" area, as well as my Welcome post. I suppose I could post it in the wagons area.
