Interesting. What did they dialogue due with the phrase, "Illinois Nazis; I hate Illinois Nazis."?By tradition, movies in Germany are released dubbed or lip-synched, i. e. any dialogue is in German as German actors lend their voices to the original actors. Back in late 1980 when the movie was released in Germany pretty much nobody knew or had ever heard of Saturday Night Live or the Blues Brothers. Many years later I learned that the dialogue had been souped up a little here and there by the German script writers to make the comical duo even more funny, just to make sure the movie would be a commercial success over here. I instantly loved the movie, and still do.
That line always make me laugh. Would they have loved them if they were Minnesota Nazis? HA!
