Hey guys, so a few years ago I bought a new rebuilt midland ross power brake booster from booster dewey for my 1968 Plymouth fury. It's given me flawless service up until today. I was headed to town for Father's day, and I hit the brakes, and the pedal was hard as a rock, and my car was running horrible. I limped it home, and the booster check valve nipple snapped clean off... I'm not sure how, or why. But I went on the hunt for a valve in the help section at the auto parts stores. All those are too small. I ordered a few spares, and even there not cheap. Just letting you guys know, so you can plan ahead.

I would check your engine mounts and that the hose has enough slack in it for a hard pull... it will torque away from the booster under load.

Motor mounts are all new, and tight. But I will run a fresh hose, and give it some more slack this next go round

It's kind of a weird problem to have, unless someone was just in there jerking on it. Might have happened when the mounts were changed. I am glad you were able to stop safely... terrible feeling when the booster quits.

I'm not sure what caused it. Mounts were changed when the new engine was installed in 2012. I replaced the booster in 2013. I've never had that happen before, and your right. It was a scary feeling.
