Hello smart mopar people.

I have a problem.
When I purchased my '64 880, one of the first things I did was upgrade to disks on the front. Smart move I thought. Unfortunately I didn't do quite enough research on how to make the upgrade work properly and used the original booster that was on it for the drums. They work "OK" but not what I would regard as good brakes...more like speed retarders.

I have searched the web looking for something that will fit straight on with no messing about but am yet to find an after market unit that fits.
What unit will fit? Is there AM units for say, a '67 that is the same bolt pattern on the firewall for a disk/drum set up? Or even a rebuilt unit?
I have even looked at Australian cars of the era that may fit but no love there either.
It clearly needs to be a duel diaphragm to give enough juice to the master.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

You are not alone on this dilemma but fortunately there is quite an easy solution. First you need to find a BB and master that mate and have the volume of fluid displacement for your system. A double diaphragm 8" booster should do the job but if vacuum is not too plentiful go with a 10" or larger. What ever fits in the space allotted leaving enough room for service to the plugs etc. The master should be of the "disk/drum" type and a proportioning valve of your choice will need to be plumbed in. You can contact http://www.inlinetube.com/ for this part. You will need to mate the bolt pattern of the booster to the existing bolt holes on the firewall. Using a ready made bracket " https://www.getdiscbrakes.com/support/tips-and-tricks/buying-classic-car-power-brakes " or fabricating your own you can easily mount any booster to most any existing bolt pattern. You may need to extend or shorten your pedal rod to the booster "http://www.summitracing.com/int/search/part-type/master-cylinder-pushrod-kits" but these kits are readily available. With a bit of handy work and careful thought you'll have the power brakes you always wanted.

Thanks guys. I took your advise Yatzee and made one fit. I had a 2000 jeep unit sitting there and made it fit. It's so nice to not have to use 2 feet to stop now. It's only taken 3 years to annoy me enough to fix the problem :)

I have a disc / drum master and booster from a 71 thru 73 C body that has been listed for a while. It wouldn't work on my 66 because of the shift linkage, since your 64 880 has push button shift it should work. Brand new $75.00 plus shipping.
