So how do you fix it. Bad ground? Two different circuits operating off of different flashers so they don’t work the same.

I might have misinterpreted what you are asking. Are you saying the 4 way flashers only work when you disconnect the brake lite switch. There should be no power going through the switch when the brake pedal is resting position. Test both sides of the switch with a test lite to verify. If it has power on both sides either the switch isn’t adjusted correctly or it’s defective. So how do you fix it. Bad ground?
The 4 way will only flash will flash on the dash but won’t show on the tail lights. Will be getting an new brake switch. Plus when I do push the brake only the passenger side light up and not the driver sideI might have misinterpreted what you are asking. I’ll replace the turn signal switch a month ago and I’ll check to see if the front lights work tonightIf you don’t have a wiring diagram get one. It is probably the turn signal switch that is faulty however there are a few things you could quickly check. First do the front lites work properly, then make sure you have a good ground at the rear bulbs, check the bulbs and make sure they are an 1157 bulb and are they good, are the sockets rusty and not making a connection. After that start testing at the brake liege switch as per the wiring diagram. It will identify which wires go where.
