I saw this in the local "rag" and thought that maybe some of the western PA members might be interested. The ad on the right of the article is actually for the drive in. I'm not sure if it will work out, but it'd be nice to try to go down for one of them.

They even give a military discount.

We used to have one very close to me but it closed down. This is where we use to have the Friday Night Car Cruise before Lowe's...

Jerseys last drive In

We used to have a Starlight Drive In , the sign looked remarkably like this Starlight....

The Vineland Drive In does cruise nights also, about twice a year. I dont know if I can see American Graffiti again though

We have one nearby in MO also.

I would love to see a double bill of American Graffiti and Two Lane Blacktop

In the Drive In cruise nights I have seen American Graffiti twice, Christine, Smokey and The Bandit, Bullitt and Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad world.

Theres a few others Id like to see but in reality , I dont think they'd ever get shown

I'd be happy with all of those and some of The Last American Hero, Hollywood Knights, White Lightning, Thunder Road, Vanishing Point, and some 50's Hot Rod B movies thrown in

Hollywood knights is one on my list but that will never get shown because of the content. They claim these to be family oriented ... Id also like to see Convoy added to that list ... DMCL and Sugarland Express

DMCL really, really should be on the screen, no reason not to

I'm not a huge fan of DMCL actually but agree with you regarding showing it ... if they won't show probably because of the crime and holding the woman and her daughter with if I recall suggestions of rape.

I may try to put it on today to give it another shot or see if i can find Convoy

PA i think has the most Drive inns, With two in the State. The Pike Drive inn is only 10 minutes from my House.

No luck so watching TLBT

Watch Two-Lane Blacktop Movie in HD online at Movie-Life

Incidentally the 55 is the same car from American Graffiti

I have two drive ins within a short drive.

Closest is the Finger Lakes Drive-In. I remember once, in my 69 340 4 spd Dart, I saw Used Cars and Hollywood Knights there as a double feature back when those movies were still new. Best drive-in movies ever! They are NY State's oldest operating drive-in. They also have a Mopar sitting out front!

Other one is Midway and that's a little farther... about a 45 minute drive versus a 1/2 hour. They lost their screen in a bad windstorm a couple years ago and had to rebuild. 600 car parking, FM broadcast and they were the first drive-in in the country to start doing open caption movies once a week for the deaf and hard of hearing. I've met the owner.... really nice folks.

Our local Drive-in is a weed patch now but makes for a cool backdrop.

We do have another about 20 miles away that generally has fairly recent showings.

Thanks Live4theKing. This is only about 20 minutes from my house. I've already started tearing down my car so I can't take it but I will definitely be there for the first cruise-in. I've been to this drive in a few times. BTW, latest count PA has 20 drive-ins, not sure if all are still active but I know the one west of Pittsburgh, Dependable Drive-in is also still operational.
