Who’s up for some grillin’ & chillin’ before our Midwest driving season is over?

I reserved a shelter house at Randall Oaks Park District in West Dundee, IL on Sunday, September 8th, 2019 for my fellow FCBO members, for a get together for all who want to come and hang out for some grilling & drinks.

This is a non-structured event. Come when you want. Stay as long as you want.
It’s BYOB / BYOF (food). The shelter house can accommodate seating up to 200 people, has a nice sized charcoal grill, a fire pit, and washroom facilities.
If you want to bring your family, there’s a lot to do other than only staying by the shelter house the whole day as this is a pretty big park, with jungle gyms, hiking trails, shops and even a petting zoo.
There’s no requirement to attend with your C Body car, but there’s plenty of parking for your C Body if you choose to drive it there for the festivities. The parking lot is just a short walk to the shelter house.

Hey Scott, are you near Needles, Ca? For some reason I thought perhaps your Church was located there?

Reason I ask is cuz Needles gave the big finger to the state of Ca today.

Oh no, no. Needles is on I-40 right before the Arizona Border; it's the last place you ever want to stop in California!!! Prices are very high there. It is a one time location of Route 66 though.

What did they do to California?

I'm in Chico, about two hours north of Sacramento. It's on Hwy 99, just east of I-5.

They became the first city and the only city with brains enough in CA. to make their city Sanctuary 2A. The reason is all the CA residents that go there to buy ammo & guns! They feel it's stupid to jeopardize people's freedom for a Constitutional right! They even recognize and accept AZ's CCW permits.

Going to be going back home from the Frankenmauth Auto Fest that weekend. Unfortunately it would be the other way and 5 hours for us to go. So that said, probably not going to make it. Sorry to say that. But it looks like a blast though. Have fun. Please post some pictures if you would like if you take any.

That's interesting, indeed, but not unique to Needles. At least, the attitude is not unique. There are many California Communities that believe Sacramento does not speak for, or represent, their local politics.
