Hey guys, new to the forum and having a slight issue that maybe you can help with. I am upgrading the lights on my 1970 New Yorker to the LED Low beam Dapper Lighting with the switchback turnsignal rings. I dont know where to look or find what the electrical color coding is on the wires. I need to hook into the red, black and yellow lines for the turn rings to power on. The lamps themselves are plug and play but to make the turn ring work you need to hook into the turn signal light. Just not sure what wires are for what. Lot of black with a white stripe, purple with another ring or stripe and several other colors. What I am looking for is where do I find the color marking code for the lamp wiring. Thanks in advance.

Many thanks my friend. I will post when I finish the car up in a couple weeks.

Factory service manual for 1970. Should have the schematic with wiring colors;

Always verify wiring with your own diagnostic skills and VOM and/or testlight.
I was repairing a melted ign feed wire on my 70 300 and found several errors in the schematics related to that circuitry. Don't remember teh exact details, but related to schematics that crossed multiple pages and various electrical options. My car was a near-survivor and the wiring hadn't molested (it was after I got done, though!).
