C body noob! Lots of questions!

You know the reason, Stan.

Not too many people hang out where they're not welcome or where there's a bunch of **** talk. Zac is a cool kid with super thick skin & a good sense of humor. He takes it in stride but most people can't or won't.

Sounds like you can see the completed car in your head! Hell, mine is almost done in the paint booth and I still don't know all the particulars for my build yet. Nice looking car!

mine was low when I bought it

That's bull, Ross. The only time people here give the cold shoulder to a newbie is when he comes in and starts talking crap.
I wouldnt shingle a tool shed and go into a roofing contractor's forum and start talking about roofing the WTC...

I never said cold shoulder. **** talk is the deterrent.

We've beat this horse repeatedly. Stock, modified, purist, ruined car, personal taste, lots of opinions, etc..........

Zac is hard corps!

He took a lot of ribbing at the beginning for the Blumo but he toughed it out and is still here. He also had the rare white Newport that was setup for something special too. I believe it even had a sunroof.

Welcome. Take your time and you will run across parts. I found extra tail-lights for my 65 Newport cheap at local Mopar shows. I think your New Yorker lights are slightly different (lens colors). It looks like you are missing the passenger side rear fender flare. If so, start looking since rare. It is easy to lower the front since the springs are adjustable torsion bars. Indeed, the problem is usually they are too sagged, in which case you are running on the rubber bumper stops which makes for a very firm ride.

That NYer has some real attitude as-is! Talk to us about your drivetrain plans.

As for that, it has a 383 in it, I know I know it should have the 413, but it is what it is... I have plans to put a cam and aluminum intake manifold with a four barrel... If I can find a set of headers and flow masters dumped at the axle...

I'd put the money into the rest of the car instead of engine hop ups. Throwing bucks for bolt ons on a tired 383 in a New Yorker may not be the wisest allocation of resources on a big luxury barge.

Totally agree, but the question was what were my plans for the drivetrain and I answered, but I do want to get the paint done first.... Then the engine cause the interior is where I want it.....

Sounds like a reasonable perk up and the bonus of a new carb in reliability and ease and tuning is double fold. I like hearing other people's engine plans as I'm still deciding what I may or may not do with mine.

Thats why I want to do the cam intake manifold and carb! I may freshen up the motor in the winter.... I did one last month and it took me a day and a half to remove rebuild and reinstall....
