Hello Guys,

We are looking into possibly reproducing the C- Body torsion bar adjuster. Does any one have a picture of one so I can see the differences between it and the one that we supply for A, B, and E Mopars.

Thanks

I'll take a picture of the used pair I have when I get home from work tonight for ya

Off hand I can tell you the pair I have are course thread, from a 75 Newport and the anchor block is a little bigger than an A and a 72 and prior B. The block is the same for a 73 & 4 B however.

James,

Thanks for giving C-Bodies some consideration for new part development.

Thanks for the pictures guys. We are starting another run of the A,B, and E Body Adjusters and I am trying to sneek in the C bodies but all parts books we have show numbers that are different and I do not have any dimension specs. Also if any one has a new old stock pair we may be interested in buying them.

Thanks

I am sure that my 65 Newport adjusters have a fine thread. I rebuilt the front end ~1997 and the adjuster bolts didn't look at all like Kernel Sanders photo of a 1975. I recall they look about the same as in my 65 Dart (probably bigger). Regardless, I don't know why a fine thread wouldn't be preferred for any year. I have heard that in 3-jaw pullers the cheaper ones with coarse threads don't last. Maybe the later coarse thread is why I have read of problems with adjuster bolts stripping.

So very true about the course thread. I have also had the course thread ones actually jam then shear right off and had to cut them out while bars were still under some some tension which I really hate doing. I'd much prefer the fine thread ones too.

x2 on pullers whether they be jawed, harmonic or other, I find the fine thread is best.
