On these (our) styles of car I've always felt that it was pretty easy to screw up on a wheel choice. Like Stan has said, you cant go wrong with era specific OEM wheels, with a few exceptions. Example, road wheels on slabs, not so much. Cragers or mags on formals, boooo! I will say that in my opinion that you have to most freedom of style with slabs as I've seen various models with just about all the traditional styles of OEM and aftermarket and it was at worst, passable.

I gotta dig into this New Yorker. Real nice car. Dont remember seeing many back in their day. Lotta details at the link below.

I think that Road wheels "work" on just about anything. I had them on my 68 Fury I and they looked great.
First thing i did back in the day was look for a set for sale in Tradin Times. The quickest way to spruce up my used 68 Charger and 69 Sport Satellite. A few years later it would be the mopar wire wheel covers that were so popular.

Still trying to find the car with THIS engine (see post #82)

Anybody know if its THIS ONE (has a Minnesota plate). Still a nice, original looking car (RWL tires from factory, yes?), so it belongs in this thread :)

Some favourite C and D and Other Mopar body wheelcovers over the years that I would keep on a C body car if I had it (many have aleady been shown)- Otherwise I go road wheels of one sort or another:

thanks. I have full set of these -- hardly used. couple years back I put 'em here for help in I/D'ing them. When I bought them, I was told they WERE 1976-1978 C body covers. Naw, the verdict here was 1980-1983 Dodge Truck wheel covers -- and that's right

But, like you said, I also would have liked to see them on a sportier C body model from the factory -- with a faux FIVE lug design :).
